Haha… one would think when they see the topic that i took a luxurious bus back home to JB for Chinese New Year… apparently not…>.<

A few weeks ago, worried of not getting tickets to go back to my hometown for the festive seasons, I bought two train tickets for me and Gladys dated 22nd January 2009 21:19 hours. Due to a few reasons, of which I play a big part, we didn’t make it in time for the train! I even called up the station master of KL Sentral asking him to give me one more minute as I was only an LRT stop away from KL Sentral… He told me no, they had to be strictly on schedule!

So, there we were, at KL Sentral, with the people there telling us that the train had just left the station around 10 seconds ago… My only hope was that we could take the KTM Komuter and hop on to the train in Seremban… So the Komuter cost another RM6…

Reaching Seremban after an hour and a half long journey, I guess most of you would know what happened… Yeap, we didn’t manage to reach there in time for the train…

So there we were, stuck in Seremban at 11.30 in the night…

We asked a girl who had just came down from the Komuter with us for directions to Seremban Terminal 1 (which is a bus station)… after telling us the directions, her boyfriend offered to send us there in their car as it was quite near… Luckily they were good people and we didn’t end up in some rubber estate in near-death situations.

There is still some good in the world… which is quite a nice thought…=)

Seremban is quite unlike KL or PJ or JB or any other town with two initials whatsoever… No nightlife there… Yes! You heard me right… It was such a quiet night in the middle of the town…

Luckily yet again, Gladys had a relative staying at Seremban and he came over to pick us up to his house…

Long story cut short, we left Seremban the next day by the 12.30 bus back to JB…

Total costs:

  • Train ticket: RM29
  • Komuter ticket*2: RM12
  • Bus ticket*2: RM60

=RM101

That’s how much it took for me to come back to JB for CNY haha…

(prices are multiplied by 2 as I paid for her tickets, you wouldn’t want her to pay for the tickets if you were the one who caused her to miss the train in the first place, would’ya?)

On another note, for those of you who don’t know… I was actually born in Seremban and stayed there until I was 7. So there was kinda a special feeling when I was there a few days ago… It was a pity I didn’t have the time to take a look at my old house… haiz…
